STATEMENT

Char Marie Flood is a
self-taught photographer specializing in B&W Fine Art, and documentary
photography. Her subject matter includes nature, urban, and rural
landscapes and ancient objects. In addition to widespread exhibitions,
Char Marie's work has been published as greeting cards, appeared on the cover of
annual reports, and published by the International Library of Photography.
Additionally, it has appeared in publications such as The SUN magazine,
Kalliope - a Women's Journal of Art, and SHOTS Magazine. Char Marie was a
finalist in the 2002 Alice & Arthur Baer annual art competition at the
Beverly Art Center in Chicago and has been
honored at the Illinois Governor’s Executive Mansion for her contributions as an Illinois Artist. Most
recently she served as a 2004 artist-in-residence for The Fields Project,
Bringing Artist and Agriculture Together, Oregon, IL and as an artist-in-residence for Hot Springs National Park in 2006.
